It is a calculation using one month’s kWh usage and your household’s square meterage. With this, you will get a projected view over 12 months, meaning your number is an annual number! The calculation even takes into account the colder winter months which usually result in higher electricity consumption, and you get your number which represents your annual energy usage at home.

To calculate, use your electricity bill to see what your kWh consumption per month is.

Then calculate your square meter usable floor area by measuring the length and width of each room in your house. Multiply the length by width for each room, and then add all the rooms together.
